Why this exists

DON'T OUTSOURCE YOUR MIND.

Censored.dk is a personal publication with an impersonal target: the systems, incentives and habits that make it easier for all of us to confuse emotional certainty with understanding.

The mission

The internet is not merely a library. It is an environment built by competing interests. Platforms want attention, advertisers want behaviour, communities want loyalty, influencers want relevance, political actors want support, scammers want leverage, and ordinary people want to feel seen.

None of that means everything is manipulation. It means incentives matter, and understanding them is part of understanding the information itself.

What you should expect here

Articles separate evidence from interpretation where possible. Sources should be visible. Strong claims deserve stronger evidence. When research is mixed, the text should say so instead of smuggling uncertainty out of the room.

There is room for philosophy, atheism, security, social media, childhood, identity, propaganda, technology and the occasional frustration with the strange theatre of modern life. The common thread is curiosity about what moves people and what happens when that machinery is industrialised.

The one rule

You can believe almost anything and still behave decently. You can also possess all the correct opinions and be unbearable. So beneath the citations, arguments and clever machinery there is a simpler principle: don't be a fucking arsehole.
